Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Hey, Atlanta folks, what say you to a get-together in November?

A couple of people (elbow... and DeadATL) thought it sounded like a good idea, so I thought I'd create a separate thread to gauge interest. November isn't set in stone, but I thought it'd be easier than trying to set up something this month. As far as location...I'm way out in the sticks (McDonough), but if most of you are on the northside, I've no problem driving up there. If not though, I think we should meet in Atlanta. I really have no idea for a location right now...Brickstore in Decatur is good, but can get very crowded. The Corner Tavern in L5P is also good, and I'm sure there are plenty of others...what are your ideas? Post here if you are interested, and we can work out the details here or via email. Let's make this happen :) PS-Just one last bump. We are going to be meeting at Twain's in Decatur Monday night at 7pm. Come on out if you are in the area!

Forum: GratefulDead Subject: E72 Box for sale...

Hey folks,

Due to some unhappy circumstances (totaling my car) I need to raise some funds.

I thought I'd post here before I deal with the horror that is Craigslist or Ebay :)

It's the box set, #4848. I've taken all the CD's out of those awful cases and have put them in a 72 CD carrying case (CD #73 goes in a jewel case).

The steam trunk has been covered in the plastic that came with it.

If you are in the Continental US it can be yours for $450 (I'll cover the shipping and insurance, up to $25. Anything over $25 and I will let you know).

If you'd like the steamer trunk and CD's sent in two different boxes, I can do that as well (I'd send the CD's in a separate box), but would need to add $15 to cover additional cost.

If you are interested, I can be reached at hotmail. My username is cvdover0126.

As far as payment...I'm not sure how to handle something like that. If you want to pay the Ebay fees I'll be happy to post a private auction (between Ebay and Paypal fees would be about 12%, so around $55 bucks extra).

Or, if you are in Atlanta, you can come pick it up.

If you want pictures, let me know.

Chris

I'm live near Roswell and work close to Perimeter Mall. But, I'm happy to meet anywhere that's convenient for the group - Decatur, L5P, Midtown...

Roswell High - Class of '82 (and former Fry Cook at Captain D's - the poor man's Long John Silvers!)

Where does Arthur Treacher's fit along the Captain D's > Long John Silvers fish 'n chips continuum?

Brickstore is very close for me and a great place for a beer, but you're right it can get crowded. The Porter is L5P is also great and has better food, but it can also get pretty crowded. Amosearle and I went there before an RRE concert at Variety Playhouse and a had a good time. He is also north of the city, i think a little further than me. McDonough is a bit of a haul, had to take my kid there for soccer once.

I go to the Marley house often down the street from the Brickstore in Decatur. Lots of parking and not so crowded. Nice comfy bar with lots of wood paneling inside. They have a table there called the "Mafia table". You can sit about 10 people at it. FYI.

That's also a good place. Twain's in Decatur is another one.

Hey gang, send me an email so we can coordinate (this will probably get dropped off the front page soon anyhow!).

My email is hot, and my username is cvdover0126

OH, and please put your screenname in the subject line so I know who you are. We can get a group email going and work out the details.
